HISTORY

In 1995 , the McLaren F1 GTR, born from the legendary McLaren F1 designed by Gordon Murray , caused a sensation at the 24 Hours of Le Mans . With its 6.1-liter V12 engine supplied by BMW, it was the fastest production car in the world. Driven by JJ Lehto, Yannick Dalmas and Masanori Sekiya , the team braved pouring rain and fierce competition. Lehto , a talented Finnish driver, drove the car to a historic victory on its first attempt. After 24 hours of fierce competition, the McLaren F1 GTR crossed the finish line in first position, cementing its legendary place in endurance racing history .

In the Woking workshops in 2015 , a team of passionate McLaren engineers embarked on a daring challenge: to create a revolutionary track-going hypercar. Under the leadership of Mike Flewitt , they set themselves the task of pushing the boundaries of automotive technology.

Thus was born the McLaren P1 GTR , a car designed to dominate the racetrack, combining power and lightness. With its 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and electric motor , it delivers an impressive 1,000 horsepower , propelling its 1,440 kg to dizzying speeds.

Its futuristic design, with its aerodynamic curves and aggressive details, is a true work of mechanical art. From the front to the L-shaped headlights to the rear with its huge fixed spoiler, every element is designed to optimize performance on the track.

But the P1 GTR isn't just fast; it also continues McLaren's racing heritage . It shares a close connection with the legendary 1995 McLaren F1 GTR, which made history by winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans .

In short, the McLaren P1 GTR is much more than a car. It is the result of the hard work and passion of a team determined to push the boundaries of automotive performance, while remaining true to the McLaren brand's heritage of excellence and innovation .

Creation process

For each creation , an initial phase of research and documentation is essential, covering the model, its origins , its designer , and its technical aspects.

The first step is to create the pencil sketch of each sketch , a meticulous work requiring great skill to capture all the details of the Ferrari. Then comes the inking phase with liner to accentuate the details. And finally, the artist carries out the coloring using alcohol markers and very soft pencils whose binder is wax-based.

Once the work is completed, the artist signs his works, dates them, and scans them to clean them up using professional software.

The artist spends about 15 days on the complete process , from the initial research phase to the final layout. This creation took almost 65 hours of work to complete.

Each work comes with a certificate of authenticity and two personalized stickers bearing the signature "TIMOTHE DESMONS." One sticker is affixed to the back of the work, while the other is attached to the certificate of authenticity.

* This creation was not created as part of an official collaboration with the brand.
