HISTORY

In 1924 , in the heart of motor racing, the Bugatti Type 35 emerged as a legend. Designed by Ettore Bugatti , this car, equipped with an eight-cylinder engine and a revolutionary design, quickly became invincible. With Meo Costantini at the wheel, it triumphed twice at the Targa Florio, adding more than 1,000 victories to its list of achievements. The Type 35 was not just a racing car, it became a timeless symbol of excellence and elegance, forever marking the golden age of Bugatti.

Almost a century later, the Bugatti Bolide continues this legacy . The story of the Bugatti Bolide begins in 2020, in the heart of the Molsheim workshops, where the engineers of the famous French brand set themselves a daring challenge: to create the fastest and lightest car ever produced by Bugatti. Under the direction of Stephan Winkelmann , then President of Bugatti, this new hypercar aimed to push the boundaries of automotive performance.

The idea for the Bolide took shape with a clear objective: to maximize the power-to-weight ratio. Thus, the engineers opted for an ultra-lightweight architecture, making extensive use of carbon fiber and advanced composite materials. The result was a car weighing just 1,240 kg, powered by an upgraded version of the 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine, delivering a phenomenal 1,850 horsepower.

The Bugatti Bolide stands out not only for its extreme performance but also for its bold and futuristic design. Its appearance , both aggressive and aerodynamic, is designed to optimize air penetration. Every curve, every line is designed to reduce drag and increase downforce, allowing the Bolide to stick to the road even at breakneck speeds.

The front of the Bolide features X -shaped headlights, a unique lighting signature that symbolises the car’s revolutionary spirit. The gaping air intakes and sharp lines are testament to its resolutely sporty character. At the rear, a huge fixed spoiler and an imposing diffuser ensure flawless stability at high speeds, while the four exhaust outlets arranged in a cross shape add a spectacular touch to the overall look.

The Bugatti Bolide is not only a technical feat, but also a mechanical work of art . Its minimalist, performance-oriented interior offers a spartan yet functional driving environment, where every element is designed for maximum efficiency . Carbon fiber bucket seats, a Formula 1-inspired steering wheel and configurable digital displays immerse the driver in an immersive racing experience.

In short, the Bugatti Bolide is the ultimate embodiment of the Bugatti philosophy : combining extreme performance with inimitable design. It reinvents the codes of the hypercar, pushing the boundaries of speed and technology ever further, while remaining faithful to the brand's heritage , where excellence and innovation are established as cardinal values.

CREATION PROCESS

For each creation , an initial phase of research and documentation is essential, covering the model, its origins , its designer , and its technical aspects. The artist highlights the symbolic representation of a peregrine falcon , the fastest bird in the world, symbolizing unmatched speed. Like this bird of prey, the Bugatti Bolide is the fastest car in the world, combining power and precision to dominate the road.

The first step is to make the pencil sketch of each sketch , a meticulous work requiring great mastery to capture all the details of the Bugatti. Then comes the inking phase with liner to accentuate the details. And finally, the artist does the coloring using alcohol markers and very soft pencils whose binder is wax-based.

Once the work is completed, the artist signs his works, dates them, and scans them to clean them up using professional software.

The artist spends about 15 days to complete the process , from the initial research phase to the final layout. This creation took almost 65 hours of work to complete.

Each work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and two personalized stickers bearing the signature "TIM DRAW". One sticker is affixed to the back of the work, while the other is attached to the certificate of authenticity.

* This creation was not created as part of an official collaboration with the Bugatti brand.
